      Colts’ Struggles Continue with 30-20 Loss to        Bills, Marking Third Straight Defeat

The Indianapolis Colts lost their third straight game on Sunday, falling to the Buffalo Bills 30-20 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Turnovers were a big problem for the Colts, as they gave the ball away four times, including three interceptions by quarterback Joe Flacco.

The game started rough for Indianapolis. On their very first play, Buffalo’s Taron Johnson picked off Flacco and returned it 23 yards for a touchdown, putting the Bills up 7-0. Things got worse when Flacco threw another interception on the Colts’ second drive, which led to a 29-yard field goal by Buffalo’s Tyler Bass, making it 10-0.

The Colts’ offense finally showed life in the first quarter thanks to a huge 58-yard run by Jonathan Taylor. That drive ended with a 27-yard field goal by Matt Gay to put Indianapolis on the board.

In the second quarter, Flacco found running back Tyler Goodson for a 2-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 10. A few minutes later, linebacker E.J. Speed made a big play, grabbing his first career interception. That set up another Gay field goal, giving the Colts a 13-10 lead.

But the Bills quickly answered back. Quarterback Josh Allen capped an eight-play drive with a 13-yard touchdown run, and a 47-yard field goal by Bass gave Buffalo a 20-13 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Flacco and the offense seemed to be gaining momentum until Greg Rousseau sacked Flacco, forcing a fumble that the Bills recovered. Even though Kenny Moore II intercepted Allen shortly after, the Colts couldn’t take advantage, turning the ball over on downs.

Buffalo stretched their lead in the fourth quarter with another Bass field goal, making it 23-13. Flacco’s struggles continued when he threw his third interception, picked off by safety Taylor Rapp. The Bills sealed the game with a 2-yard touchdown run by James Cook, putting them ahead 30-13.

Flacco connected with Alec Pierce for a late touchdown with just two seconds left, but it was too little, too late. The Colts dropped to 4-6 on the season and will now head to New York next week to face the Jets at 1 p.m. on CBS4.
